One of the major issues of the modern era is climate change. Climate change refers to changes in temperature and weather patterns. It occurs naturally but from the start of the Industrial Revolution. The reason is the excess burning of fossil fuels such as coal, and petrol. Large-scale deforestation for land to build infrastructure is also a major factor. Because of these factors, today's earth temperature on average is 1.1 C warmer than in the 1800's. Each decade the temperature is only increasing as the earth's ecosystem is a cycle of increase in temperature effects everywhere. The glaciers in Antarctica are melting at a rapid rate which can cause huge amounts of floods.
Other such effects are water scarcity, drought, severe storms, etc. The earth may be in danger if we don't rectify this situation. Fortunately, there are many solutions. In the late 1900's CFCs emitted by the air coolers, and refrigerators caused holes in the ozone layer which protects us from harmful radiation from the sun. but since then the CFCs have been banned from being used and the ozone layer is on its way to being healed. Similarly, fossil fuels can be replaced by renewable energy like solar and wind energy. Deforestation and illegal mining should be curbed and people need to use more public transport and stop wastage of resources as much as possible. By implementing these steps we can curb the problem of climate change.
